Played the album through a couple of times as I drove home from CA. Lifeline and Fire & Rain are favs. He sounds like Chris Martin in some songs; reminds me of Bruce Hornsby in others (runaway car, city of b&w). Good music for an introspective mood.Rick D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09182021273410951966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8691524806269720820.post-25351159875187643452009-06-19T14:27:50.790-07:002009-06-19T14:27:50.790-07:00I'm glad to see that you're listening to M...I'm glad to see that you're listening to Mat Kearney and blogging about him. I just saw him last month when he opened for Keane. While Keane's lead singer sweated through a bright blue leather jacket and soaked in the cheers of the crowd, Mat played his first show in a year with poise. His new album is definitely more pop than his old work...he doesn't break it down with any spoken word on City of, but the lyrics in the bridge always connect. Take the chance if you get it to go see him live.Eric MacLeodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00797077882824718245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8691524806269720820.post-11970689302846862502009-06-19T13:24:53.720-07:002009-06-19T13:24:53.720-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Eric MacLeodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00797077882824718245noreply@blogger.com
